As a trained educator with a CertEd qualification for UK school teaching, which was my career for over fourteen years, I have a wealth of experience in this profession. I then became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy as the qualification for teaching university undergraduate and post-graduate students.
I've started my education blog articles list with a recently written article about how to begin a career as a teacher in the UK.
Eight years as secretary and Newsletter editor of the British Mensa Education Special Interest Group.
Being contributing editor led to an accumulation of articles of various kinds, historical, biographical, how-to, lesson plans, etc., now available to share with you here.
Some of my EduSig articles on great educators are about the unschoolers' hero, John Holt, and the prolific children's author and teacher educator, Enid Blyton. I also wrote a few articles on issue based fiction as therapy, including some book reviews which I have placed in the Bookshelf section.
